NACCB 2016 Journalist Fellow

This summer I went to the North American Congress on Conservation Biology Conference in Wisconsin as a Compass Journalism Fellow.  I spent time with conservation biologists learning more about their work, and many of these conversations turned into stories that I’ve since published. The journalism fellows were embedded in the conference, participating in panels, moderating sessions and providing feedback on science communications. It was an incredible experience, and I’m so thankful I was able to go. A huge thanks to Compass and their funders (Wilberforce, Sitka and Y to Y) for making this possible.
