Connect

For many generations, Indigenous peoples have looked to the skies above us as a clock, a calendar, and a map of the world. Their stories have been influenced by the stars, and their constellations tell tales of creation. Bear, squirrel, rock and stream are kin – everything is related. I am grateful to live and work on the traditional lands of the Anishinabe, Aseniwuche Winewak, Dene-zaa, Nêhiyawak, Secwépemc, Stoney Nakoda, and Métis. Through their teachings, I deepen my relationship to this land and my appreciation of the connection between all living things.
